Thanks my good friend Huy for pointing me in this direction. As it turns out I had been discussing such trip (a Lancaster to Avignon) with my better half.

11 days? probably a little too long (I have a job). 2 days to get to Oxford then 6 days to reach Avignon would be an attractive proposition.
